Ricky Thumar, PharmD, RPh

Ricky Thumar is an Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Education Faculty Coordinator at MCPHS in Boston. He earned his PharmD from MCPHS and completed an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at Atrius Health with a focus on ambulatory and managed care.

From 2013 to 2022, Thumar practiced under a collaborative drug therapy management agreement at a federally qualified health center, specializing in endocrinology, cardiology, and nephrology while precepting advanced pharmacy practice students. He later served as Director of Payer Contracting at a specialty pharmacy consulting organization before returning to MCPHS.

Thumar has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and professional presentations focused on pharmacy practice and patient care.
