About
Dr. Steven Lachowski is an Associate Professor of Physical Therapy and a board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He completed an Orthopaedic Residency at The Ohio State University Sports Medicine Center and recently earned a PhD in Physical Therapy. His doctoral research examined the influence of sport specialization on adolescent athletes, focusing on strength, neuromuscular performance and athlete burnout.
Dr. Lachowski teaches across the musculoskeletal curriculum, with courses emphasizing examination and evaluation. His scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications and national presentations on youth sport participation, injury risk and rehabilitation outcomes. He remains clinically active and is engaged in interprofessional education and mentorship within physical therapy education.
