About
Dr. Kathleen O’Leary, OD, is an Assistant Professor in the School of Optometry at MCPHS. She teaches Pediatric Optometry and Clinical Binocular Vision and serves as a clinical preceptor at the Eye and Vision Center. Dr. O’Leary is actively involved in the community and collaborates with local schools to provide pediatric vision screenings.
She earned her undergraduate degree in three years from Juniata College before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2011. Following graduation, she completed a residency in Pediatrics and Binocular Vision at the Illinois College of Optometry.
Dr. O’Leary is passionate about increasing access to eye care and has participated in mission trips with Remote Area Medical (RAM) and to San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua, where she provided optometric care alongside students.
