About

Dr. Kirin Gada is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology in the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at MCPHS. Her research integrates electrophysiology and advanced microscopy techniques to investigate ion channel function in both health and disease.

Her work on inwardly rectifying potassium channels led to the identification of a novel therapeutic target for atrial fibrillation. She has also contributed to research on voltage-gated sodium channels, uncovering a previously unrecognized mechanism of channel gating that has influenced the field.
