About
Professor Michaud brings over 15 years of diverse clinical experience to MCPHS, having worked in acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and outpatient settings with patients across the lifespan. He also has a strong background in healthcare administration, having led rehabilitation departments and, more recently, emergency medicine initiatives.
Throughout his career, Professor Michaud has spearheaded hospital-wide initiatives aimed at improving patient safety and efficiency, including reducing falls with injury, minimizing medication errors, and enhancing patient throughput to decrease emergency department wait times.
Professor Michaud joined MCPHS as an adjunct faculty member in 2023, driven by a passion for developing the next generation of occupational therapy practitioners. He is dedicated to bridging the gap between classroom knowledge and clinical practice, preparing students for real-world challenges in the healthcare field.
