About

Dr. Sanjay Gayakwad is a compassionate educator and innovative researcher with a multidisciplinary background and experience in both the pharmaceutical industry and academia. He specializes in drug product development, with a focus on early clinical formulations and innovative drug delivery technologies for a range of therapeutic applications.

His research explores nano- and micro-particulate carriers for drug delivery in cancer angiogenesis, the use of 3D printing in personalized medicine, and the evaluation of vaccine candidates through in vitro methods. At MCPHS, Dr. Gayakwad teaches undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses in pharmaceutics, biopharmaceutics, controlled drug delivery, and pharmaceutical biotechnology.

He is actively involved in student advising and serves as co-chair of the MCPHS Student Chapter of the New England Parenteral Drug Association.
