About

Andrea Lowy, MS, OTR/L, is an occupational therapist with more than 30 years of clinical experience, specializing in adult inpatient rehabilitation. She is a Certified Aging in Place Specialist and a Certified Fall Prevention Specialist, focusing on improving safety, independence and quality of life for aging populations.

At MCPHS, she teaches in courses including Therapeutic Groups, Motor Performance Across the Lifespan Lab, Environments and Technologies Lab, Adult Rehabilitation Lab and Vision and Cognition Across the Lifespan. She also serves as a Level I Fieldwork Educator, mentoring students as they develop foundational clinical skills. Professor Lowy is dedicated to preparing future occupational therapists for evidence-based and compassionate practice.
