About
Dr. Loubaina Buxamusa infuses over 40 years of varied clinical experience, primarily in pediatrics, into her instructional practice. Her teaching philosophy rests on a foundation of respect for and belief in the tenets of occupational therapy. Her purpose is to convey to future practitioners the value of the guiding principles of occupational therapy and the vision and clinical skills required to translate these principles into practice. Her experience with effective and evidence-based interventions is embedded in her teaching methodologies, along with constructivist ideals and the occupational model of practice. Dr. Buxamusa is student centered and facilitates engagement in the learning process as a result of self-choice, motivation, collaboration, and the search for meaning.
