Bawan Elayathamby

Bawan Elayathamby is a seasoned biotechnology operations leader and adjunct faculty member at MCPHS, bringing over 15 years of industry experience in cGMP manufacturing, Quality assurance, and regulatory. He has successfully led teams through multiple global regulatory inspections, including FDA, EMA, MFDS, HLfGP, and Health Canada, resulting in commercial licensure of innovative biologics. Bawan holds a Master of Science in Regulatory Affairs with a concentration in Quality Assurance from Northeastern University. His expertise spans supply chain management, external manufacturing, inspection readiness, risk management, and quality event resolution. As an educator, he integrates real-world case studies from his leadership in biologics and gene therapy to prepare students for careers in the life sciences. He is passionate about active, problem-based learning and inclusive education.
