About

Mary Buchinger Bodwell is the author of five books of poetry, her work has been published in over a hundred literary journals. Her poetry is permanently installed in Cambridge, where she lives and served as Poetry Ambassador, and was chosen for the Boston Raining Poetry Project. She has received an MCPHS University Scholarship Award for Discovery and another for Integration, as well as a School of Arts & Sciences Teaching Award. She serves on the board of the New England Poetry Club (founded in 1915 by Robert Frost, Amy Lowell, Conrad Aiken) and is actively engaged in the poetry community. Originally from rural Michigan, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador and earned a doctorate in linguistics from Boston University.
