Molly Payne (she/her/hers pronouns) is a licensed mental health counselor. She received her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Holistic Studies Specialization from Lesley University. She also has received certification training in Mindfulness and Psychotherapy and Mindful Self Compassion from the Institute of Meditation and Psychotherapy. Prior to working at MCPHS, Molly has worked in residential life, college health & wellness and counseling services at several other university and college campuses in the New England and North East area of the United States, and has also worked with Hospice and in community mental health care. Molly has particular clinical interests in college mental health, spirituality, loss and grief, anxiety and stress management, positive psychology, mindfulness and meditation, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and the psychology of illness and wellness.

Molly’s holistic approach to counseling and treatment with students is inclusive of understanding the whole person and the intersections of identity, cultural, race, sexuality, family origin, health, spirituality and helping students know their own strengths and inherent wisdom to support their growth and overall wellbeing. She believes firmly in the importance of MCPHS students equally learning to care for themselves while learning to be health care providers for others. Outside of work, Molly enjoys travel, gardening, board games, movies, meditation, and walks with her dog and family.
