The BSHS program provides a strong foundation of general education, health sciences, and core competence for a range of non-clinical and clinical health careers. In this four-year program, you can choose between two tracks to align your educational path with your goals and experience. All students take the same first-year curriculum, so you have time to explore and gather information before choosing a track.
Track 1: Bachelor of Health Sciences — General
Combine a broad view of the healthcare industry with a deep dive into specific areas.

Track 2: Bachelor of Health Sciences — Health Education and Promotion
Inspire individuals and communities to encourage health-help seeking behaviors.
- graduates of this track are eligible to sit for the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam
- provides an additional credential in health education and promotion for any clinical profession such as nursing, dental hygiene, medical imagining and therapeutics, and rehabilitation sciences, among others
- trains you in the areas of health promotion, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, research, advocacy, communication, administration and management, and professionalism
