Graduation and Attrition Rates

Residency Placement Rate is the percentage of the entire graduating cohort who matched to residencies. Includes students who graduated in the calendar year indicated, regardless of matriculation year. Data for the 2026 graduating cohort are results from just after the OR-Match phase and does not include post-match results.

NBEO First-Time Pass Rates

Published results include the performance of all first-time takers of each NBEO examination Part within the specified timeframe regardless of year of enrollment or year of graduation. Program data are from NBEO aggregate reports for first-time student takers, with the exception of 2025-2026 Part II and Part III exam results and 2023-2024 Part III exam results, which were taken from individual score reports.

First-time taker pass rates published on the Association of Schools and Colleges of Optometry (ASCO) website are limited to candidates who have graduated in that academic year and have attempted all three parts of the NBEO exam.

Program Completion Licensing Examination Rate

Program Completion Licensing Examination Rate is the proportion of students completing all of a program’s curricular requirements within a calendar year who, by the end of that calendar year, are licensed, or have passed all parts of an examination series that would permit licensure, in the United States or Canada.
