About

Matthew Silva, PharmD, RPh, BCPS, is a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS and an adjunct Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at UMass Chan Medical School. He specializes in pharmacy practice within family medicine and primary care, with clinical expertise in cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and evidence-based medicine.

Dr. Silva’s research interests include biostatistics and meta-analysis. His work has been published in The 5-Minute Clinical Consult, Clinical Therapeutics, and the American Journal of Public Health. A board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist, he integrates research and scholarship into clinical training and the advancement of pharmacy education.

He is a licensed pharmacist in Massachusetts and an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
