About

Dr. Spooner is a faculty member at MCPHS whose teaching focuses on infectious diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, and viral hepatitis, within the Pharmacotherapeutics series. She co-coordinates Patient Care Seminar I, where she facilitates an interprofessional education session with physicians, and also co-coordinates Pharmacotherapeutics III.

Her teaching contributions span several areas, including global health resource availability in Ethics, viral and liver labs in Patient Care Seminar II, and the pharmacogenomics of antiretrovirals in Pharmacogenomics. She also coordinates the Pharmacotherapy of HIV and Viral Hepatitis elective and teaches HIV and hepatitis content in electives such as Drugs of Abuse and Drug Interactions.

Dr. Spooner maintains a clinical practice at Saint Vincent Hospital, where she precepts students during their Internal Medicine Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotation.
