About
Dr. Karen Britt, DNP, MSN, RN, CNE, is an Associate Professor of Nursing at MCPHS. With more than 30 years of nursing experience, she has worked across a wide range of acute care and community settings, providing care across the lifespan.
Dr. Britt began her nursing career with an associate degree and went on to earn a BSN from Russell Sage College, an MSN in Evidence-Based Practice from the University of New Hampshire, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing Leadership from Capella University. She is certified in Adult Medical-Surgical Nursing through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) through the National League for Nursing.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Britt served as a hospital-based nurse educator for six years. She joined MCPHS in 2009 as adjunct clinical faculty and became a full-time faculty member in 2011. She is actively involved in advancing interprofessional collaboration through the MCPHS Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education.
