About

Dr. Janelle Herren, MSBioE, PharmD, RPh, is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at MCPHS. She earned her Master of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Washington in Seattle, where she worked with Baxter Healthcare on needleless drug delivery systems and synthetic blood substitutes for trauma and battlefield use. She later earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from MCPHS and worked as a community pharmacist in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Dr. Herren completed a geriatric clinical fellowship through the Pharmacy Outreach Program at MCPHS and is a licensed vaccinating pharmacist. She is currently developing a clinical practice site at the UMass University Campus Benedict Clinic, with a focus on patient care and student training..
