Dr. Catherine A. Carroca, DHSc, RN, is an Associate Professor in the School of Nursing, where she teaches in the Accelerated BSN and RN to MSN programs. With over 20 years of clinical and academic experience, she specializes in public health, nursing education, and curriculum development.

Dr. Carroca holds a Doctor of Health Science in Global Public Health and is currently pursuing certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her scholarship includes peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and national presentations on innovative teaching strategies, including the use of generative AI in academia. She is a dedicated mentor and advisor, with professional interests in student engagement, competency-based education, research, and interprofessional collaboration.

Dr. Carroca is committed to advancing nursing education and preparing the next generation of evidence-based, compassionate nursing professionals.
