Julie Kokot (she/her) is a second-year Master of Social Work student at Boston College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Hamilton College.
Her first clinical internship was at Abelard Psychotherapy, Inc., where she provided therapeutic mentoring and in-home therapy to children experiencing serious emotional disturbances through the Children’s Behavioral Health Initiative (CBHI) in Massachusetts. Julie has also volunteered as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts and as a Crisis Counselor with Crisis Text Line. She has completed training in mandated reporting through Middlesex Children’s Advocacy Center and in sexual and domestic violence education and prevention in compliance with Chapter 260.
Julie is passionate about supporting MCPHS students as they navigate emerging adulthood, fostering a safe space for self-exploration and growth. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking comfort food, tasting pastries, walking in the sunshine, and spending time with family and friends.
