Program Details
Bachelor of Science in Nursing—AcceleratedOur strategic integration of classwork and experiential learning—including clinical opportunities—makes our program an exceptional learning experience. Students spend the first 16 months in the School of Arts and Sciences establishing the foundation they need to successfully transition into the professional BSN curriculum.
First-Year Experience
- build a strong foundation in the liberal arts and sciences
- study and attend labs in chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and psychology
- learn about the culture and identity of patient and healthcare communities as well as the human development life cycle
Second-Year Experience
- continue to gain knowledge and sharpen your skills by exploring healthcare, wellness, and professional practice
- study medical microbiology, math, and healthcare ethics
Third-Year Experience
- begin the BSN curriculum building on the foundational knowledge gained during study in the School of Arts and Sciences
- apply classroom knowledge in lab and in clinical settings
- strengthen the essential competencies required to practice as a professional nurse and advance the health and wellness of patients across the healthcare continuum
- participate in interprofessional education activities that support transition into professional nursing practice
- work with our interprofessional partners to deliver safe patient care at a variety of clinical practice agencies
