Bachelor of Science in Pharmaceutical Sciences (BS)Your Four-Year Journey
Our broad-based curriculum in basic biological and pharmaceutical sciences prepares you for important roles in discovering and developing new medications that save and improve lives. This program is STEM-designated, qualifying international students for an additional two years of OPT work in the United States.
First-Year Experience
- build a strong foundation in chemical principles and cell and molecular biology
- learn the essentials of calculus and expository writing
- explore patient and healthcare communities through the study of American culture, public life, and human psychology
Second-Year Experience
- study and conduct lab work in medical microbiology, organic chemistry, and physics
- explore the data and business sides of the industry through classes in statistics and macroeconomics
- begin to incorporate a variety of electives in the liberal arts and sciences
Third-Year Experience
- build a thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and biochemistry
- broaden your industry knowledge through the study of pharmaceutics and pharmaceutical analysis
- continue your exploration of the liberal arts and sciences
Fourth-Year Experience
- develop foundational knowledge in healthcare ethics
- deepen your knowledge of pharmaceutical technology, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacology
- study molecular biology and the properties of drug molecules
- explore the realm of regulatory affairs
- participate in an advanced pharmaceutics seminar
