Vision Statement

The MCPHS PA Studies-Boston Program strives to be a leader in PA education, recognized for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and a commitment to service, inspiring our graduates to be lifelong learners and leaders dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of all populations and communities they serve.

Mission Statement

The MCPHS PA Studies-Boston Program's mission is to educate a diverse community of PA students to become competent and compassionate clinicians through an innovative and evidence-based curriculum. We prepare our graduates to deliver culturally competent and patient-centered care, and to serve as collaborative leaders in health care by means of academic excellence, active learning and a commitment to health equity.

Program Goals

The goals of the Master of Physician Assistant Studies program are:

  1. Provide students a strong foundation in the Basic Sciences: anatomy, pathophysiology, pharmacology and genetics.
  2. Provide students a strong foundation in the Clinical Sciences.
  3. Develop PA students' clinical decision-making skills.
  4. Foster interpersonal communication and professional qualities essential to providing culturally competent and ethical healthcare.
  5. Develop PA students' skills to function as a competent member of an interdisciplinary team.
