About
Cynthia Teng is a nationally board-certified and licensed acupuncturist and herbalist practicing in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New York. She holds doctoral and master’s degrees in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine from MCPHS–New England School of Acupuncture.
Specializing in the treatment of substance use disorders, mental health conditions, depression, neurological disorders, and pain management, Cynthia has advanced training in auricular acupuncture, the NADA protocol, scalp acupuncture, and both Japanese and Chinese acupuncture techniques. She also holds a Fundamental Oncology Acupuncture Certificate from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her expertise enables her to effectively support patients managing withdrawal symptoms associated with substance dependence.
Her clinical experience includes internships at the Boston Medical Center Pediatric Pain Center and a postgraduate internship at China Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. Cynthia serves as an acupuncturist at Hartford HealthCare–St. Vincent’s Oncology Department, and Privé-Swiss Private Retreat for Mental Health. She previously worked as a per diem acupuncturist at Mountainside Treatment Center.
