Your Two-Year Journey

After working closely with expert faculty, you will put your new knowledge and skills to work at field placements in hospitals, clinics, schools, and community-based settings.

First-Year Experience

  • study the critical reasoning and contemporary theory essential to occupational therapy practice
  • begin practice engagements in several areas, including mental health and therapeutics
  • examine motor performance and fundamental skills across the human lifespan
  • learn about the neuroscience foundations of therapy
  • embark on your first apprenticeship and field practice

Second-Year Experience

  • concentrate on challenges involving children and adolescents
  • learn about cognitive and visual challenges facing patients of all ages
  • examine advanced management concepts for occupational therapy practices
  • create patient treatment programs that span months and years
  • engage in actual practice in real-world environments and state-of-the-art labs
  • explore the wide range of occupational therapy careers
