Doctor of Healthcare Administration (DHA)

Location: Online
Start Term: Fall, Spring
Format: Part-Time

Are you are an experienced healthcare leader who is looking to expand your skills and ability to succeed in complex healthcare environments? This flexible, online program strengthens the financial and analytical foundations of healthcare leaders, preparing them to tackle uncertainty and complicated issues in healthcare administration. Students identify, evaluate, and apply evidence to establish, implement, and measure solutions for application in real-world settings. In the Evidence-Based Capstone series, you'll develop the methods and skills necessary to address and solve practice-based problems and gain the experience required to advance your professional practice.

Curriculum

This innovative 54-credit program is designed to meet the needs of current healthcare professionals and consists of coursework in five distinct areas of study: Healthcare Systems and Environment, Healthcare Leadership, Health Systems Operations and Data Analytics, Healthcare Finance, and the Doctoral Research Core. The curriculum is developed for interdisciplinary health professionals to prepare them to work in clinical settings, and hospital and healthcare administration. Students will synthesize and apply concepts throughout the curriculum that are derived from the professional competencies identified by the American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Leadership Alliance. The program is fully online with no on-campus residencies.

Evidence-Based Capstone

The program culminates with an Evidence-Based Healthcare Project developed in a structured environment. The capstone offers students the opportunity to acquire skills and knowledge to advocate for best practices and promotes the translation and utilization of existing evidence in their practice.
