School of Nursing

Prestige of The DAISY Award

The MCPHS School of Nursing is a proud partner of The DAISY Foundation, a prestigious organization supported by more than 4,800 healthcare facilities and nursing schools, including the American Association of Colleges of Nursing and National League for Nurses. The DAISY Award was founded in 1999 in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, whose family was moved by the compassion and clinical skill of his nurses during a battle with the disease known as ITP.

The DAISY Award internationally recognizes extraordinary nursing students and faculty for outstanding, compassionate care. Award recipients will receive a personalized certificate with a portfolio and honoree pin, a handcrafted Healer’s Touch sculpture from Zimbabwe, spotlight recognition on The Daisy Foundation website, and more.
