Interlibrary Loan

Library
Book chapters and articles not available from MCPHS’s print and digital collections can often be obtained from other libraries via our Interlibrary Loan service. This service is provided for MCPHS faculty, staff and students only. Requests for Interlibrary Loans can be made by submitting one of the forms listed below, or by accessing the “Get Full Text” links from citations available from our databases.
Requests for Interlibrary Loans can be made by submitting the Request Journal Articles and Book Chapters form or the Request Books form.

Communication concerning problems with requests will be conducted through email. It is essential that we have your MCPHS email address for rapid communication. Barring unusual circumstances, all requests are processed within 48 hours. If you are requesting an article, you will only receive an e-mail if there is a problem filling your request.

Articles

Barring unusual circumstances, all articles will be e-mailed to patrons. We receive the majority of articles within three business days. If you have not received either the article that you requested or an e-mail after three business days, visit or contact the Interlibrary Loan Librarian, Sarah Muellers at 617.732.2803 or email sarah.muellers@mcphs.edu.

Books

MCPHS is unable to obtain books from other libraries due to the ongoing coronavirus situation.

We make every effort to borrow materials free of charge, but sometimes there will be a fee to obtain a particular item. Be sure to indicate whether you are willing pay for an article or loan when filling out the request form.
