Interlibrary Loan

Library

Book chapters and articles not available from MCPHS’s print and digital collections can often be obtained from other libraries via our Interlibrary Loan service. This service is provided for MCPHS faculty, staff and students only. Requests for Interlibrary Loans can be made by submitting one of the forms listed on the MCPHS Libraries’ website, or by accessing the “Get Full Text” links from citations available from our databases. The Interlibrary Loan team recommends using the Request from MCPHS Interlibrary Loan link on the Get Full Text (MCPHS) menu instead of the forms on our site whenever possible. It will save you time.

Hours of Operation

Interlibrary Loan requests will be processed during daytime hours on business days. Requests submitted overnight, on weekends, or on holidays will be processed on the next regular business day.

Communication

Please use your MCPHS email address when submitting ILL requests, for copyright purposes. Any communication you receive regarding ILL requests will be sent to your MCPHS email address. The ILL team will email you if there is a problem filling your request.

Charges

We make every effort to borrow materials free of charge, but sometimes there will be a fee to obtain a particular item. Be sure to indicate whether you are willing pay for an article or loan when filling out the request form.
