Thesis and Dissertation Submission Guidelines

Congratulations on finishing your degree! The MCPHS Libraries work with you to preserve and publish your thesis/dissertation.

What do you need to submit to the MCPHS Libraries?

For a Master’s Thesis

Please note: All forms must be submitted as PDF files. 

For a Doctoral Dissertation

  • One copy of your dissertation as a PDF document.
    • The title page of your dissertation must have signatures.
  • One unsigned copy of the title page of your dissertation as a PDF.
  • Thesis/Dissertation Receipt Form [PDF]
    • Fill in your name on the appropriate line.
    • If you have decided to embargo your dissertation, complete the box at the bottom of the form. Your Research Advisor must sign this box. The maximum embargo time is one year.
  • Institutional Repository Non-Exclusive Deposit License [PDF]
  • PROQUEST/UMI Agreement [PDFt
    • This form must include your signature to be valid.
    • If you have decided to embargo your dissertation, be sure to embargo it on the ProQuest/UMI Agreement.
    • MCPHS pays for the cost of traditional publishing only.

How will you submit your files to the MCPHS Libraries?

You will submit all of your completed files to the MCPHS Libraries via our online submission form.
