Accreditation

The entry-level occupational therapy master's degree programs on the Manchester NH and Worcester MA campuses are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Ave., Suite 510E, Bethesda MD 20814. ACOTE's telephone number c/o AOTA is 301.652.2682. Graduates of the programs will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of the exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR). In addition, all states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT certification examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate's ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.

This Manchester program is also approved by the Division of Higher Education-Higher Education Commission, Department of Education State of New Hampshire.

At its August 2025 meeting, the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) granted a status of Accreditation for a period of ten years for the Manchester, New Hampshire Campus (Main Campus) and the Worcester, Massachusetts Campus (Additional Location). The program's next on-site evaluation will be scheduled within the academic year 2034/2035. Graduates from both campuses are eligible to sit for the National Board for certification in Occupational Therapy.
