6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. | A Closer Look at: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Anne Joseph, BSc, CNMT, RT(CT), MPH

  • Describe the difference between Race, Ethnicity, and Nationality
  • Demonstrate how differences in identity can result in the marginalization of minority groups
  • Recognize implicit biases and understand how they shape our behavior
  • Recognize the impact of implicit bias on healthcare
  • Demonstrate how to advocate for the acceptance and respect of all identities by reflecting on and explaining the importance of inclusion
  • Promote confidence to engage in conversations surrounding diversity and inclusion

7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. | Radiation Incidents Through History: Lessons Learned
Frances Keech DHSc, RT(N), MBA, FSNMMI-TS

  • Describe the level 6 and 7 radiation events along with a few notable reportable medical events over the first 100 years of the atomic age
  • Describe the human body’s response to different levels of radiation exposure
  • Explain the key contributing factors for each event through root cause analysis
  • List the lessons learned from each event and the essential regulation resulting from those lessons

Accreditation: Approved by the ASRT for Category A continuing education credit. (ASRT course # MAD01120002)

Attendance Documentation and Verification: All professional registrants (not students) must sign in at the beginning of the activity and return the blue attestation sheet to the registration desk at the end of the activity. Attendance will be documented. Participants must attend the entire activity for credit.

Requirements for Credit: All professional registrants (not students) must return a signature sheet at the conclusion of the activity to claim credit, as well as log into the MCPHS CE website (mcphsce.org), insert the specific activity code for each session, and complete the evaluation. CE credit will be automatically provided in the form of a PDF certificate that may be saved and/or printed. It is recommended that participants save the PDF and visit www.asrt.org/trackce to report their credits directly to the ASRT.
