Pfizer Inc., in conjunction with MCPHS, offers a unique two-year post-PharmD fellowship program in Global Clinical Supply (GCS) and Clinical Research Pharmacy.
Fellowship Overview
This two-year fellowship program provides a comprehensive post-doctoral experience that fosters professional growth and develops the necessary skills for a successful career in Research and Development in the biopharmaceutical industry. GCS provides the investigational products (IP), information, and IP handling training for Pfizer-sponsored clinical trials and expanded access programs. During their first year, fellows will receive in-depth training in each of the following functional areas and participate in rotational modules throughout the drug development process:/p>
- Clinical Research Pharmacy
- Clinical Supply Informatics and Technology
- Global Clinical Supply Operations
- Clinical Supply Strategy and Management
- Inspection and Risk Management
- Quality Assurance
- Pfizer Clinical Research Unit (Phase 1)
In their second year, fellows will engage in projects focused on optimizing and advancing the end-to-end physical and digital clinical supply chain. Throughout the program, the fellows will be integral members of Pfizer’s Global Clinical Supply organization. The fellows will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in key functional areas that set and operationalize the clinical supply strategy, systems, packaging/labeling, logistics, as well as provide instructions and training of IPs in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
