Peer Tutoring

CASE Worcester/Manchester

Student orientation

At orientation, all incoming students are assigned an enrichment tutor. These tutors are trained, upper-level students who acquaint the new cohorts with the campus. They provide perspective from recent experience and an understanding of student struggles, along with additional support that helps ease new student transition. Following orientation, enrichment tutors continue to support their assigned groups through e-mails and academic support tutoring. These informal gatherings act as a forum for sharing information, requesting help, and building a rapport among future colleagues.

Peer tutoring

Tutorial academic support is a tool available for students interested in reinforcing the material presented in the classroom. The CASE peer tutor staff are responsible for tutoring in their assigned cohort areas. Their academic support is not meant for re-teaching course content, but rather to engage students in the learning process and provide essential support to their peers.

Tutoring sessions are offered on campus with days and times deemed appropriate. Students can schedule appointments by going to WCOnline.

Please Note: Tutoring is on a first come, first served basis. There is no guarantee that tutoring can be provided for all coursework. Every effort will be made to match students with a tutor or an alternative resource. Students must come in with specific questions or concerns. You may contact your CASE cohort representative for further details.

Online tutoring

All students currently enrolled at MCPHS have access to TutorMe, a 24/7 online instructional platform. TutorMe can be a helpful alternative if our other tutoring offerings do not work for your schedule or if you would like more support in addition to what is provided by our other University Learning Network services.

To access TutorMe, login to your Blackboard using your MCPHS credentials, select a course, and navigate to the Tools page. Click the TutorMe icon to be connected with a tutor in minutes.

TutorMe will continue to be available for use to students through Blackboard. Students must access the TutorMe platform through their Blackboard login in order to utilize hours.

The weekly limit for each student is 6 hours. Hours reset on Sundays.
