Appointments with Career Advisor

• Thirty-minute in-person, virtual, or phone appointments can be scheduled through the Student Success Hub, 24 hours in advance.
• If you are unable to find an appointment time that works with your schedule, email your career advisor to arrange an appointment.

Student Organizations and Clubs

• Work collaboratively with the Career Development Center to create a customized career-related session for your student organization or club. Email careerservices@mcphs.edu with your request.

Working collaboratively with faculty, the Career Development Center can provide information that complements curriculum and program goals to support your students’ employment readiness. Whether a customized presentation, a review, or fundamentals, the Career Development Center welcomes the opportunity to work directly with your students.

• Schedule career related workshops: The workshop will be customized to support student employment readiness through information that is linked to your curriculum and program.
• Promote our services in your syllabus
• Don’t cancel that class! Instead of canceling your class, consider inviting us to your classroom. We can customize our presentation to fit your students’ career needs.
• Create a career assignment for students: Assignments include career readiness, cover letter and resume writing, and interview skills.
• Big Interview: Big Interview is an online interview training system that helps students prepare more effectively for an interview. Work with a Career Development Center staff member to create an interviewing assignment for your course or program that uses Big Interview.
• Candid Career: Candid Career is an online tool that allows students to search for careers available within their academic background; searches can be filtered by industry, career title, or college major. Professionals in the field share their day-to-day tasks and projects, give advice about entering an industry, and provide tips on how to prepare for the field.
• Cosponsor events and programs
• Recruit Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Alumni for events and programs
• Host Career Development Center open hours in your department
• Refer employers and share employment listings
• Share success stories: Tell us about the accomplishments of your faculty, students, and graduates
• Create an on-campus internship position
