Events

New England Regional Residency and Fellowship Showcase

The New England Regional Residency and Fellowship Showcase, held annually in the fall at the MCPHS Boston campus, offers a comprehensive overview of residency and fellowship opportunities, including industry roles. The event features a review of the ASHP Midyear process, with a focus on the Personnel Placement Service (PPS), as well as a discussion of the MCPHS internal Fluid Review Application Portal. Attendees also have the opportunity to network with current fellows and key stakeholders from companies participating in the Fellowship and Residency program.

ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting/Personnel Placement Service (PPS)

The ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting is the world's largest gathering of pharmacists. It's an annual event focused on improving patient care through education, networking, and the sharing of knowledge and best practices in health-system pharmacy. The meeting attracts over 20,000 pharmacy professionals from around the globe.

Personnel Placement Service (PPS) at the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting is a large, national pharmacy recruitment event where employers and job seekers connect. Participating in PPS enables job seekers and employers to conduct job and resume searches on the CareerPharm website, communicate directly with potential candidates, schedule interviews, and meet in person during the meeting. The PPS job board is live in September and runs through the end of January.

CDC Meetings

The Career Development Center frequently hosts fellowship and residency meetings on campus and virtually. Watch your email for information.

The Match

The Match, sponsored by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), pairs residency applicants with participating programs based on mutual rankings submitted after the interview process.

Applicants use a shared registration portal managed by National Matching Services Inc. and the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS), which serves as the single access point for both registering for the Match and submitting applications through PhORCAS.

All residency programs participating in the Match require applications to be submitted via PhORCAS. While registering for the Match does not obligate you to complete PhORCAS applications, you must be registered for the Match in order to apply to U.S. programs through PhORCAS. Registration typically opens in mid-July.
