COVID-19 Information Center

The federal government ended the COVID-19 public health emergency on Thursday, May 11, 2023. As we enter the next phase of the pandemic response, the University will continue to follow the lead of public health officials and make decisions based on science. COVID-19 testing will no longer be required at MCPHS. We want to thank you for all your efforts in keeping MCPHS a safe Community throughout the pandemic by following health and safety protocols including frequent COVID-19 testing.

Students

COVID-19 vaccines are no longer required but are strongly recommended following CDC guidelines for these vaccinations.

COVID-19 vaccination requirements for clinical rotations are set by the clinical sites. Students going out on clinicals rotations will need to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination if their clinical site requires it.

Students who test positive for COVID-19 should follow the student-documented absence policy.

Faculty and Staff

The University will no longer require COVID-19 vaccinations for employees but strongly recommend following CDC guidelines for these vaccinations. As studies continue to show, COVID-19 vaccinations have a proven track record of preventing serious illness.

Mask Requirements

Masks are no longer required at MCPHS clinics and treatment centers beyond the standard protocols that were in place before the pandemic.

Keeping Our Campus Safe

To help keep our campuses healthy, please remember to:

  • Stay up to date on COVID-19 vaccines, including booster doses.
  • Avoid contact with those who have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19.
  • Take precautions immediately if you are exposed to COVID-19.
  • Follow the CDC isolation recommendations if you have a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19.
  • Wear a well-fitting mask in indoor, crowded situations or on public transportation if transmission rates in the community rise.
  • Speak with your healthcare provider about other preventative measures to take if you are at risk of getting very sick from COVID-19.

We appreciate your continued cooperation in making MCPHS a safe place to study, live, and work.
