About the Community Engagement Priority

The Community Engagement Strategic Priority is dedicated to creating a vibrant campus where every member of the University Community feels respected, valued, connected, and engaged. By strengthening our sense of community, we enrich the student experience and foster a positive, fulfilling workplace for faculty and staff.

The Community Engagement Priority Team monitors progress toward the Community Engagement Plan by supporting meaningful connections, transparent communication and feedback, a respectful and inclusive environment, and accountability through assessment and progress reporting. Together, these efforts help build a stronger, more connected University Community where everyone has opportunities to contribute, engage, and thrive.

PURPOSE: Strengthen the Community by monitoring progress toward the goals of the Community Engagement Plan and ensuring that engagement, transparency, fairness, and accountability remain central to the University experience.

MISSION: Assess and share progress toward Community Engagement priorities by leveraging data, stakeholder feedback, and reported outcomes to highlight successes, identify opportunities, measure impact, and drive meaningful continuous improvement across the University Community.

VISION: Foster a connected and engaged Community where all members feel respected, valued, and empowered to contribute; where open communication, collaboration, fairness, and accountability inspire our actions; and where ongoing assessment and improvement enhance the experience, growth, and success of students, faculty, and staff.

Goal 1: Monitor progress toward the Community Engagement Plan

• Review available information, assessment data, and reported activities related to plan priorities.
• Gather and review stakeholder feedback on Community engagement efforts.
• Track and document progress toward established priorities and intended outcomes.

Goal 2: Assess progress and communicate findings

Objective

• Analyze data and stakeholder feedback to assess progress and identify key trends.
• Develop reports summarizing progress, accomplishments, gaps, and areas for improvement.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders to support continued improvement.
