Welcome
BS, Health Sciences CompletionGreetings and Welcome to the Undergraduate Health Sciences Program,
I am honored that you have chosen the MCPHS School of Arts and Sciences to advance your education within the interdisciplinary study of health sciences. I am certain that you will find your time with the University to be enriching, rewarding, and helpful in achieving your professional and personal goals.
This is an exciting program that leverages your associate’s degree and affiliated clinical certification and experiences to obtain your bachelor’s degree. As Program Director, I will work one-on-one with you throughout your time at the University to develop your schedule and provide continual support. Before the semester starts, you will receive a user ID and password to allow you access to Blackboard, which is the educational management platform where all coursework and communication with faculty members will occur. You will be enrolled in the BS Health Sciences Blackboard Organization that hosts resources and information specific to you and your studies. I encourage you to review the content located in the Organization when you receive access.
Again, I am thrilled that you have chosen the Undergraduate Health Sciences Program and extend the warmest of welcomes. I am available at any time to discuss ideas, receive suggestions for course or program improvement, or just to chat. I welcome conversations about ways in which you can take full advantage of your time as an undergraduate student, ranging from involvement in the MCPHS Center for Research and Discovery to finding flexibility in the curriculum to allow course substitutions for content that will help your development. I am here to support you.
Best wishes, and on behalf of the BSHS faculty, I look forward to working with you!
