About the Massachusetts Guarantee

The Massachusetts Guarantee is a transfer partnership between MA community colleges and participating four-year colleges and universities. Eligible community college graduates are able to transfer seamlessly – admission guaranteed.

Application requirements

  • Complete an associate of arts (AA) or associate of science (AS) from a Massachusetts community college and apply to transfer to a degree program at MCPHS.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5

Transfer of credit

The General Education Foundation (formerly known as the MassTransfer Block or MTB) refers to a set of general education, core, or distribution requirements, consisting of 34 college-level credits.

Students will have credits from their associate's degree transferred in as block credit. In total, students who enter under this agreement can transfer up to 60 credits, starting them in their junior year. Additional credits may be reviewed on an individual basis.

Costs

Students who are seeking to enroll as full-time students in one of our programs listed above would pay the traditional tuition and fees.

Financial aid

All students may apply for need-based financial aid using the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA). MCPHS’s FAFSA school code is 002165.

All transfer applicants are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships upon review of their application.

Specific program information

The Massachusetts Transfer Guarantee does not apply to the following programs:

School of Arts and Sciences Pathway Programs, School of Medical Imaging and Therapeutics, Nursing, Pharmacy Doctorate, and our graduate programs only applies to the five majors listed above. All other majors at MCPHS are excluded. All other majors at MCPHS are included.
