Orientation FAQs

Read our Orientation FAQs.

Orientation is your first chance to start building your Cardinal community here at MCPHS. It gives our incoming students and their families a chance to explore campus, connect with peers, and learn about available resources.

MCPHS’ Orientation program is hybrid, with both an in-person one-day session on campus, and virtual self-paced modules to gain information on important resources on campus.

Undergraduate New Student Orientation

Students register for one session.

  • Thursday, June 25, 2026
  • Friday, June 26, 2026
  • Saturday, June 27, 2026
  • Sunday, June 28, 2026

Undergraduate New Student Orientation (for students residing outside of New England, New York and New Jersey)

  • Thursday, August 27, 2026

International Student Orientation

Students register for both sessions.

  • Wednesday, August 26, 2026 (Welcome and Reception)
  • Thursday, August 27, 2026 (General Orientation)

Transfer Student Orientation

  • Friday, August 28, 2026

It is highly encouraged for incoming students to attend one of the in-person Orientation sessions. Staff and student leaders are working hard to create an exciting program that allows you to meet peers and learn about the resources available to ensure your success at MCPHS.

Registration is required for the in-person orientation sessions. You will receive information regarding registration at your MCPHS email address on April 19, 2026.

If you are having issues registering or need to change a previously registered date, please contact Admissions at visit@mcphs.edu.

At check-in, you will receive a specialized academic school tote bag for collecting items throughout the day.

We recommend you have the following:

  • Paper to write on (if you are a note taker)
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Sweater or jacket (it can get chilly inside classrooms)
  • Refillable water bottle

The orientation staff is here to help anyone and everyone. If you're a very outgoing person or very shy, we're here to help students feel comfortable in their new surroundings. Just ask us, and we will be glad to make the appropriate accommodations.

•Incoming students and their family/guests will start the Orientation program together, but will then split up to attend separate programs. Students and their family/guests will reconnect for the Academic School breakouts and University Services & Support Expo.

*Please note: Transfer Orientation is only for incoming students, and does not have a separate family & guest component.

Siblings and children will attend the same programming as adults. We understand it may be necessary for younger children to accompany you; however, if you can attend without them, that is preferred as the programming will be tailored to an adult audience.

Complimentary parking will be available on a first-come, first-served basis within our campus adjacent to the school, at 101 Palace Rd, Boston, MA, 02115. If you will be driving, use this address in your GPS.

Our campus is conveniently accessible by public transportation. The closest MBTA stop to campus is the Longwood Medical Area stop on the Green “E” Heath Street line. For up-to-date service schedules, visit www.mbta.com.
