Boston Campus Life

We offer a community filled with passionate and engaged students, faculty, and staff. From academic enrichment to activities, formal events, and on-campus programs, our student support services staff is focused on fostering a student-centered and vibrant campus life experience. On our Boston campus, you will experience:

Cardinal Booth

There is so much to explore in the city of Boston, and through our Cardinal Booth you can access special deals and hard-to-get tickets. If offers you the opportunity to purchase discounted movie, aquarium, and museum tickets – you can even score a ticket to a Red Sox/Yankees game at historic Fenway Park.

Educational Enrichment

Our future healthcare professionals and their mentors have a dedication to career learning that comes to life on our Boston campus. Students, faculty, and staff of all disciplines attend academic programming hosted by their peers, which allows them to gain valuable inter-disciplinary insight into all aspects of the healthcare industry. Stop by the Open Lab Day in our Diagnostic Medical Sonography lab and get an insider look at the world of imaging. Attend the Forsyth School of Dental Hygiene’s Oral Health Fair and receive an oral health assessment from our students. Or hear research insights from our PharmD students during poster presentations. It’s all part of the immersive healthcare environment on our Boston campus.

Fenway Card

Your MCPHS ID gives you access to a variety of perks in our neighborhood. Just show your Fenway Card and enjoy free admission to the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and the Museum of Fine Arts, two of the nation’s most prestigious art museums, as well as discounted admission to a variety of other Boston-area locations.

Formal Events

The Center for Campus Life hosts a full schedule of formal events throughout the academic year, including the Red Dress Ball, Pre-Med Gala, Harvest Ball, and induction ceremonies for our honor societies.

LiveRED Days

Once a month, our Atrium transforms into a celebration of all things MCPHS. Jump into a photo booth with Red the Cardinal, enjoy refreshments, play a game of life-size “Operation,” take a turn in a bouncy house, and receive MCPHS swag. LiveRed Days offer the perfect opportunity to connect with classmates and make new friends.

Schumann Fitness Center

Stay fit at the Schumann Fitness Center, which offers a variety of equipment, amenities, and classes. The Center features locker rooms, showers, and 50 pieces of the latest cardiovascular and strength equipment technology from top-of-the-line manufacturers. Looking for group exercise experiences? Each semester, the Center offers classes in various areas, including yoga, Pilates, Zumba, and Tango. We even offers courses that can be tailored to your specific needs. Our students also enjoy access to the pool facilities at Colleges of the Fenway member Simmons College – visit our Cardinal Booth for a pass.

Senior Week

Leading up to commencement, we celebrate the accomplishments of our graduating students through fun activities, dinners, ceremonies, and more.

Relaxation Days

During exam weeks, the Student Lounge transforms into a relaxation oasis with free chair massages, refreshments, quiet spaces, meditation, and relaxation crafts. It’s the perfect way to unwind before or after exams.

Schwartz Center Educational Rounds

We understand that providing competent, compassionate care can be challenging in today’s healthcare settings. Which is why we affiliate with the Schwartz Center for Compassionate Healthcare to offer rounds designed to help the entire MCPHS community better understand the needs and hopes of individuals from different cultures and backgrounds. We were one of the first universities to offer Schwartz Rounds at the undergraduate level.

Volunteer Opportunities

Whether it's volunteering locally at Boston Children’s Hospital, or serving at-risk and under-deserved populations at the Esther Wilkins Forsyth Dental Hygiene Clinic, there are plenty of ways to give back at MCPHS. Our students are putting their commitment to community service and compassionate patient care to work during their academic careers in a way that benefits everyone involved.

Weekday Activities

Walk through the Atrium on our Boston campus and you will find students participating in our on-campus weekday activities. There is always something going on, from crafts to musical performances to scavenger hunts.

Weekend Trips

Join your classmates on weekend excursions and trips, including shopping trips and seasonal experiences like apple picking.
