Commuter Students

Boston Campus Life

Welcome Commuter Students

MCPHS is pleased to offer valuable resources that will help you make the most of each day. On campus, make sure to take advantage of everything we offer to make you feel at home, like common areas, study halls, eateries, and the library

It may also be helpful to lease a locker on campus. Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis via registration, and are located in the following buildings: Fennell, White, and Griffin.

We also encourage our commuter students to get involved with on-campus activities. Stay close to the action by joining student clubs, attending events, and volunteering.

Find more ways to get involved on the Cardinal Pride Portal

Resources for Commuter Students

MCPHS students have access to the MBTA Pass Program, which offers discounted semester passes for the MBTA. For students who only need to use the local bus routes, the Green Line and Subway lines, but not any of the commuter rail stops, we recommend the LinkPass instead of the Zone 1A pass.

Electric scooter docking is available on the Boston Campus on the West Patio near Fennell 118 and other locations. Stop by the Public Safety Desk or Center for Campus Life for additional scooter docking options. Scooters are not to be docked in the Cardinal Lounge or in classrooms.

Bluebikes is a public bike share system in Greater Boston, with a monthly and annual membership fee. Students can also bike to campus and dock their bikes on campus. Docking is available on the Boston Campus, West Patio near Fennell 118, and other Longwood locations. Stop by the Public Safety Desk or Center for Campus Life for additional bike dock options.

Students can visit Bluebikes for more information.

Many of our students who commute from outside the Greater Boston Area park at transit stops and take the bus, train, or commuter rail into the Longwood Medical Area. Several parking garages in the Longwood Medical Area, on Longwood Avenue, near the Museum of Fine Arts, at the Longwood Galleria, and Simmons offer various daily rates. MCPHS is not affiliated with these parking garages.

It may be helpful to lease a locker on campus. Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis via registration at the start of the fall semester, and are located in the following buildings: Fennell, White, and Griffin.
