Summer Housing
MCPHS students who are enrolled in in-person summer classes or in-person clinical/rotations may elect to live on campus for summer sessions I and/or II. All housing for summer 2023 will be in Matricaria Hall. Please read the information below for all details.
Complete a Summer Housing Application
The Summer Housing Application will be available early in the Spring semester to coincide with summer class registration. Regardless of their program, all students must complete the application to request housing for the summer. The Office of Residence Life does not automatically assign students to housing based on academic programs. Students will be notified of their summer housing assignment in mid-April via their MCPHS student email address.
Summer Housing Applications are open on the Residence Life Portal. Priority deadline is Thursday, March 30, 2023; Final deadline to request summer housing is April 15, 2023.
Which Summer Session will you be attending classes?
Summer Session I: Monday, May 15, 2023 to Friday, June 16, 2023*
Summer Session II: Tuesday, June 20, 2023 to Friday, July 21, 2023*
Summer 10 Week Session: Monday, May 15, 2023 to Friday, July 28, 2023*

If you're not sure which session you will be attending, check with your program faculty and/or the CASE. If you are taking classes with a COF school, you must provide proof of registration before being given your housing assignment.
*Summer move-out dates are 12 p.m. on the Saturday after your summer course(s) end. No students are allowed to remain on campus past the end of their summer courses. The residence halls will be completely closed at 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 12, 2023, until the start of the fall semester.
Fees and Payment Information
Housing rates: Visit the Room and Board page for the most up-to-date rates. Please note these prices are subject to change. Fees do not include meals.
Meal plans: The meal plans will be announced in the spring semester. Students may use the Sodexo site to explore dining options.
Payment date: Summer housing payments are due by May 1, 2023. Please visit Student Financial Services to make a payment or find answers to any questions related to your student bill. Residents must be financially clear to pick up their summer key.
Summer Housing Assignment and Roommate Requests
All summer students will be housed in Matricaria Hall. Students may request specific roommates. However, all requests must be mutual. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that current Matricaria residents will be housed in their present assignment for the summer. Matricaria rooms are mostly two-bedroom apartments with two students per bedroom and four students in the apartment sharing a bathroom and kitchen/living room space.
Housing Accommodations
Any student requesting housing accommodations based on a documented disability is required to complete the Summer Housing Application as outlined. The deadline for completed disability paperwork is Friday, April 1, 2023. Documents received after the deadline will receive consideration for accommodations based on availability.
Renew accommodation: Students who were approved for housing accommodations and wish to renew it must contact the Office of Student Access and Accommodations (OSAA) via email at osaa@mcphs.edu. OSAA will be in contact with you if they require updated documentation and will notify the Director of Residence Life of any eligible accommodation.
Request new accommodations: If you are a new student requesting accommodations please visit the Office of Student Access and Accommodations webpage and submit a Student Request for Services form. OSAA will conduct an intake appointment and collect medical information and any required documentation. In addition, they will notify the Director of Residence Life of any eligible housing accommodations. Please get in touch with OSAA at osaa@mcphs.edu with questions.
Please note that requested housing accommodations are solely for the student with a documented disability. Roommate preferences may not be considered in your accommodation. Determination of eligibility for housing accommodations does not guarantee housing.
Summer Housing Move
As a summer resident you will have two options for your move date. Our office will reach out to you to select your option as we approach the end of the semester:
Option 1: For students who would like to remain on campus between 12pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 (end of spring semester) and Monday, May 15, 2023 (start of summer sessions). Rooms will be ready to be occupied by Thursday, May 4, 2023 and students must be moved into their summer assignments by 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Option 2: Available to students who are unable to move spaces in the above time frame. These students must remove all belongings from their spring 2023 room at the end of the spring semester (Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 12:00 PM) and may move to their summer spaces starting Saturday, May 13, 2023.
Keys will be available for students to pick up. Details on pick-up times and location will be communicated directly to students who sign up for housing. Students taking only summer session II classes may not remain on campus between the end of spring and the beginning of session II courses.
